I’m proud to announce that Strings, a short film animation I composed the soundtrack for in 2017, has gone on to win the Short Film Competition award at the Jewish Film Festival 2018. Huge congratulations to director Erin Morris and the rest of the team that worked tirelessly in their final year at Falmouth University to create this thought-provoking 2D Animation.

The animation, loosely based on true events,  tells the story of a violin being passed though the concentration camp, Auschwitz-Bikenau- illustrating the tragedy that befalls the unfortunate players. Eventually the violin is passed to modern day Tel-Aviv, where it is restored to it’s former glory.

The soundtrack is inspired by traditional Jewish music, and is crafted to have a ‘music box’ feel, matching the aesthetics of the animation.
